ABOUT

Since I was young, I've had a fascination with those things that go bump in the night. I've always had a draw toward the dark and the mysterious. When I was in fourth grade, that manifested as an obsession with aliens. When in high school, I was caught up in the initial popularity of the show Ghost Hunters and the idea of investigating with a team.

Shortly after starting college, I joined a local paranormal team and began learning the ropes of technical investigation. A few months after, I was cast on and later won the first season of Ghost Hunters Academy, a competition reality series that was the second spinoff from Ghost Hunters. I went on to work very briefly with the Ghost Hunters International team. But the way that these things go, I got the short straw and my co-cast member, Susan, got the permanent slot with GHI.

I returned to college that fall and focused, in addition to Creative Writing, on religious studies, taking classes on Eastern and Western philosophies and mythologies, as well as the foundations of mystical experiences, all much of which very directly applies to paranormal research. Between this and a deep personal respect for science, I've begun trying to synthesize paranormal research with various approaches to both science and religion. I now lecture across America about both the different kinds of investigative approaches to ghost hunting, as well as the mystical connections, where spiritual experience stops and science begins.

From the late summer in 2010, until March of 2016, I worked at the famous and beautiful Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, where I led the public ghost hunts on the weekends. During that time, I conducted almost exactly 250 investigations on the property.

In September 2015, after the addition of Ghost Hunters' Alum Michelle Tate to the team, we began a series of video blogs documenting our experiences and data that we captured during our work that fall at the hotel. This expanded, in January of 2016, to the web series that I directed and edited, called Spirits of the Stanley, which first premiered on our Facebook page, and later -- as it was originally planned -- as the premiere original series on the paranormal web network, The Dark Zone

I also assist teams across Colorado as a consultant, including TAPS family team ParaFPI out of Denver and the Paranormal Xplorers team. Starting January 2013, I launched a series of YouTube vlogs that examine different perspectives on and approaches to ghost hunting, for both the layman and the technical investigator alike. I attend various events across the nation during the year, often including Scarefest in Kentucky, the Beyond Reality Event at the Stanley Hotel, Darkness Radio events, and the annual Ghost Hunter Cruise, featuring Ghost Hunters International alum Barry Fitzgerald and Psychic-Medium Sarah Lemos.

At the moment, I'm developing a number of projects relating to the paranormal that are still under wraps, but in the meantime, I am continuing my work with the Spirit Investigations Team (featuring Connor Randall and Michelle Tate from the Stanley team) as we press forward with new experiments and theories on paranormal activity.
