AIDEN SINCLAIR: ILLUSIONS OF THE PASSED
Back in the late spring of 2015, I accompanied one of my favorite local punk bands, The Ghoulies, who play a crazy-fun mashup of rockabilly punk with strong sci-fi and horror themes throughout, as they recorded their sophomore album, Roswell-A-Go-Go in Denver's Black in Bluhm Studio. I hung out with them for two days as they recorded guitar, bass, and vocal tracks for the record.
I'd been wanting to flex my talents on a short (very short) documentary style promotional project for their album, and I managed to give them just that. I've always felt that I missed a calling to music somewhere down the line, and there's nothing quite like the feeling of just hanging out in the studio with a band while they put their work into permanent form. If I can give a glimpse at that feeling, and be able to live it vicariously myself, then I can only hope I've done my job.
